“Order!” PM blasts UNC MP; ask why he don’t go to Guyana

“Order!” House Speaker Bridgid Annisette-George was led to shout in an attempt to halt Prime Dr Minister Keith Rowley, after he erupted in anger at Opposition MP Rodney Charles.

The eruption occurred when Charles posed several questions to Dr. Rowley around issues concerning Guyana and Barbados.

Annisette-George cautioned Dr. Rowley one more time about his disruption.

Charles questioned why Dr. Rowley declined the invitation to attend the International Energy Conference and Expo in Guyana in February.

Rowley said this particular invitation didn’t fit his schedule but the country was represented by the ministry and a strong T&T contingent.

Charles later asked if Rowley was allowing his “personal friendship” with former Guyana president David Granger to “cloud judgement on foreign policy.”
