The Opposition walks out of the parliament during debate on the Tobago Self Government Bill Tuesday afternoon.
Before the walk out, House Speaker, Bridget Annisette-George, ordered Couva South Member of Parliament, Rudy Indarsingh, to apologize following two outbursts from the Opposition MP in the House of Representatives.
Earlier, the Leader of Government Business, Camille Robinson Regis, had requested the Prime Minister be allowed to speak for an extra sixty minutes during debate on the private motion adopt the report of the
JSC on the constitution Amendment Tobago Self Government Bill 2020.
However, this request was resistance by the Opposition which forced the House Speaker to intervene.
During the deliberation, one Opposition MP was heard indicating they were leave the parliament.
