Opposition now files motion of No-Confidence in Colm Imbert

The United National Congress is probably hoping that the third time will indeed be the charm as they are set to file a third motion of no confidence in the House of Representatives – this time, the target is Minister of Finance, Colm Imbert.

The motion will be brought before the House this Friday, when it sits at 1.30 pm.

The UNC made the announcement during their Monday night virtual event.

National Security Minister Stuart Young and Energy Minister Franklin Khan have both been the subject of no confidence motions, with Young on January 27 and Khan on February 26.

The UNC did not complete the debate on either motion then, as the private motions of no confidence could only be passed if the Opposition persuaded at least two government MPs to vote with them.
