The Opposition claims many families are living with the trauma of having lost their loved ones to crime mainly murders.
It’s a position highlighted by Chaguanas East Member of Parliament, Dinesh Rambally.
MP Rambally was at the time speaking at a news briefing held by the United National Congress on Thursday morning.
Mr Rambally described 2022 as a historic year for all the wrong reasons adding crime continues to be an issue of paramount importance.
He said next year there must be renewed effort and focus on addressing mistake made in the past when it comes to the fight against crime.
