The Opposition Leader will be filing a motion of contempt against Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, when parliament resumes.
Member of Parliament for Siparia, Kamla Persad Bissessar, says the decision was taken to go this way following on Monday’s statements by Dr. Rowley in the parliament which the Opposition MP claims were untrue and mislead the House of Representatives.
MP Persad Bissessar said the statements were made during as Dr. Rowley was winding up debate on the motion about taking note of the Presidential statement which specified reasons for the declaration of a State of Emergency.
The Siparia MP elaborated on her stance that the statements made by the Prime Minister were misleading misled the parliament and a breach of the parliamentary rules.
