Opposition Leader refuses to apologise for ‘fake vaccine’ claim

OPPOSITION Leader Kamla Persad- Bissessar is standing by her fake vaccine comments saying that people are experiencing poor health and side effects from the jabs.

Speaking at the United National Congress (UNC) meeting at the party’s Chaguanas headquarters, the former prime minister criticized Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Roshan Parasram for their management of the pandemic.

She said that close to 5,000 people died from the virus and their deaths could have been prevented.

She claimed people who were forced by their employers to take the Covid-19 vaccine and who are experiencing poor health and side effects may now have grounds for legal action.

Last week, Deyalsingh issued a release condemning Persad-Bissessar for saying that ‘fake vaccines’ were administered to hundreds of thousands of people in Trinidad and Tobago. He demanded that she retract her statements.

However, Persad-Bissessar on Monday night did not retract her statement, but instead said she brought evidence to support her claim, as she reported that there have been international reports about the efficacy of the vaccines.
