Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar in response to the 2020/2021 Fiscal Budget presentation laid out by the Finance Minister, Colm Imbert said the Finance Minister “lies and lies openly”.
Persad-Bissessar speaking with the media, post Budget, said Minister Imbert has constantly misled the public by giving false promises.
She said “he lies, he lies openly, he repeats the same promises, he repeats that we’ll turn around, he repeats that we will stabilise.”
Persad-Bissessar later asked about the “impending sale of the National Petroleum Company Limited (NP) and concerns around job0 security and the possibility of price gouging by private owners.
