Opposition Leader Calls On Law Association To Publicise Transcript Of Most Recent Meeting

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar is appealing to the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago to make public, the transcript of its recent meeting where two motions were voted upon by the membership relating to the Attorney General.

One dealt with a no-confidence motion while the second called on the AG to resign due to matters coming out of the fraud and corruption case in the construction of the Piarco International Airport.

Reports say the no-confidence motion received 234 for and 317 against, while the second motion received 241 votes for and 310 against.

The Opposition Leader has cited the need for the population to get some insight into the meeting which was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel last week.
