Police said that they detained a suspect for the murder of two-year old Aniyah Mc Leod and her father, thirty-nine year old Stephon McLeod.
McLeod and his daughter were shot to death on Friday June 19 in Tunapuna.
They were both laid to rest on Friday.
Police said that the suspect is in custody and is assisting police with investigations.
No motive has yet been determined for the murder.
On Thursday, Police Commissioner Gary Griffith announced that a $25,000 award will be given to anyone with information concerning the death of the McLeod’s.
