One man dead, another wounded in Belmont shooting

Police are trying to ascertain a motive for the killing of 45-year-old Kevin Danglade.

Danglade, of St Francois Valley Road, was murdered on Saturday afternoon when he went to do a job in Belmont with two other workmen.

Reports are that around 2:30pm, Danglade and his two colleagues were negotiating their job fee in an area called Beecham Coco in Belmont, when a gunman approached and opened fire on the men.

Danglade was shot and died on the scene, while one of his colleagues was shot in the back and is now warded at hospital.

Another man escaped unharmed.
