One Man Arrested, Marijuana and Cocaine Seized By Western Division Police Officers

Police seized a quantity of marijuana and cocaine and arrested a Diego Martin man during an anti-crime exercise conducted in the Western Division Thursday.

During the exercise, officers of the Western Division Task Force proceeded to a house along William Street, Four Roads, Diego Martin, where a search warrant was executed for dangerous drugs.

While searching the kitchen area of the house, a crocus bag containing several brown plastic packages, each containing marijuana with a weight amounting to 8.473kg was seized.

Police also seized a clear plastic package with ten clear plastic bags each containing quantities of cocaine.

A 37-year-old was man arrested for being in possession of marijuana and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and was taken to the St. James Police Station for questioning.

The exercise was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Kelvern Thompson and Superintendent Henry, supervised by Inspector Reyes, Acting Sergeant Carmona and supervised by Acting Corporal  Edwards.
