One local historian is of the belief that this country has the creativity and innovation needed to make progress in these serious economic and challenges times in a variety of areas.
It’s a point highlighted by Author, Professor, Brinsley Samaroo.
Professor Samaroo was speaking at the Second National Conversation on the Independence Project held by the Movement For Social Justice this week.
Professor Samaroo said Caribbean governments must be urged by the people to view agriculture as a way out to secure food stability, support farmers and growing and buying local.
Another point Professor Samaroo indicated was the avoidance of red tape, price reduction for agriculture chemicals, improved access roads for farmers and addressing praedial larceny.
