One Government Senator Not Opposed To Opening Up Of Domestic Airbridge

One government senator is not opposed to the idea of opening up the domestic air transportation system between Trinidad and Tobago which will allow other carriers to come on board and ply their trade.

Senator Laurence Hislop told the Power Breakfast Programme on Power 102 Digital Thursday morning he has no issue with other airlines operating the domestic route to Tobago, if the business model works for them.

Mr Hislop explained the government sees the inter-island air-bridge as an essential service.

He was also questioned on the service currently provided by Caribbean Airlines adding there is always room for  improvement.

Commenting on the sea bridge, Mr Hislop said improvements have been made and it is more efficient in terms of delivery of operation.
