As of the afternoon of Monday 5th October, 2020 the Ministry of Health reported the following update on T&T’s COVID-19 status.

| Number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities in Trinidad and Tobago | 4,767 |
| Total number of active cases | 1,801 |
| Number of deaths | 82 |
| Number of persons discharged from public health facilities | 1,097 |
| Number of recovered community cases |
1,787 |
The Ministry of Health provides the following update:
- 1 additional person has tested positive for COVID-19
- The Ministry of Health regrets to inform the public that there has been 1 additional COVID-19 related death. The person was a middle-aged male with pre-existing medical conditions. This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 82.
