An officer attached to the Mon Repos Police station was killed in an accident along the Solomon Hochoy Highway on Thursday night, near the Brian Lara Stadium.
Officer Kent Neptune was in his private car heading south when he somehow lost control and his vehicle crashed and overturned several times, throwing Neptune from the car.
He died on the spot.
Investigations are now underway.
