ODPM Urges Population To Remain Vigilant Despite Reduced Bad Weather

Don’t become complacent, is the message being sent by the population in spite of most of the bad weather passing over Trinidad and Tobago and is now over northern Venezuela.

It comes from head of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management, Retired Major General, Rodney Smart.

Mr Smart, at a news briefing today, reminded the public of the yellow level weather alert and orange level riverine alert are in effect and care and vigilance should be exercised especially in low lying areas as Major River courses are at about eighty percent capacity.
