ODPM advises citizens to be prepared for the rainy season

Citizens are being asked to prepare for the rainy season and assemble Emergency Kits/Resources.

The current weather forecast is partly cloudy to cloudy with some showers/rain over broad areas.

There is a medium to high chance (40% to 70%) some of these showers could become heavy and or thundery. Similar, though improved conditions would persist overnight.

The current inclement weather does not officially signal the start of the 2023 Wet Season.

The ODPM is advising persons to be prepared by having your own food, water and other supplies to last at least 72 hours or 3 days in the event you are stranded waiting on assistance.

An emergency kit is a collection of basic items your household or workplace may need in the event of an emergency.

Take a few minutes to assemble the items around your home that can be used to build emergency resources.
