Nurses Association Head questions accuracy of COVID Committee Report

Head of the Registered Nurses Association, Idi Stewart is questioning the accuracy of the report by the COVID Care Committee.

The committee was assembled by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to examine the level of healthcare being afforded to COVID patients.

They released their 105 page long report over the weekend.

Mr Stewart told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show that that he hopes the committee will be allowed to conduct a more robust report as he noted that the one month timeframe which the committee was allowed was not enough.

Mr Stewart suggested that the Committee’s findings were skewed as a result of the actions of the Regional Health Authorities.

He claimed that the Committee was not allowed to choose random patient treatment files to compile the report and was instead given files of the various RHAs choosing.

Mr Stewart, nonetheless says he is hopeful that the recommendation in the report by the COVID Care Committee will be implemented.
