NPTA: “Fix school structures for safe return of forms 4 – 6 students!”

The NPTA says that the infrastructure at a number of schools in T&T is not up to scratch and this is cause for concern.

Interim President of NPTA Zena Ramatali says that many school buildings are not in a position to house returning students.

Minister of Education Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly said all secondary school students in forms four-six will be required to return to physical classes from Monday 25th October.

In a press conference held at the ministry in Port of Spain on Wednesday 20th October, Gadsby-Dolly said the relevant teachers would no longer be required to teach online classes, as all students has to return to school.

Ramatali said that while this is the reality, many schools are without the proper infrastructure to house the students.
