No water for South East Trinidad on Thursday as WASA services Plant

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) said that citizens in parts of South East Trinidad will have an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday.

This is due to planned works by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at the Tabaquite Sub-Station, which will impact operations at the Navet Water Treatment Plant.

The interruption will take place between the hours of 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Libertville,
  • Robert Village,
  • George Village,
  • Tableland,
  • Rio Claro,
  • Agostini,
  • Rio Claro Tabaquite Road,
  • Cunapo Southern Main Road,
  • Biche,
  • Plum Mitan,
  • Charuma,
  • New Grant,
  • Craignish Village,
  • Matilda,
  • St. Julien,
  • Indian Walk,
  • Hindustan,
  • St. Mary’s Village,
  • Cunjal,
  • Cumuto,
  • Whiteland,
  • Poonah,
  • Piparo,
  • Morne Roche,
  • Princes Town,
  • Manahambre,
  • Iere Village,
  • Sisters Road,
  • Hardbargain,
  • Buen Intento,
  • Malgretoute,
  • Williamsville,
  • Barrackpore,
  • Bronte,
  • Borde Narve
  • Penal Rock Road

Limited truck-borne water service will be available with priority given to special homes, health care and government institutions.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules.
