No water for parts of Central, Moruga

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Carlsen Field Water Treatment Plant that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Tuesday 17th December 2019, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to carry out planned maintenance works at the
facility. These works have been rescheduled from Thursday 12 th December 2019.

Areas to be affected include:

  • Carlsen Field,
  • Uquire Road,
  • Thompson Road,
  • Sou Sou Lands,
  • Cashew Gardens,
  • Cashew Development,
  • Parts of Edinburgh Road,
  • Upper & Lower Arena Road,
  • La Quesa Road to Upper Siewdass Road,
  • Christian Village East of the Tunnel,
  • Along Freeport Mission Road from Freeport Overpass to Siewdass Road Junction, inclusive of all side Streets.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.

Meanwhile,

The Authority advises that there would be an interruption in the pipe borne water supply to customers along the Moruga Road, Cachipe on Wednesday 18th
December 2019, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

This has become necessary in order to facilitate pipeline interconnection works along the Moruga Road, Cachipe.

Areas to be affected include the Moruga Road from Cachipe to La Lune.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the service to normalize to some
affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the jobsite.
