No favours here! AG says his son was granted an exemption to return like “many other students”

It seems that Dr Sonel Rowley wasn’t the only child of a politician receiving an exemption to return home for Christmas.

Now comes word that Abraham Faris Al-Rawi, son of Attorney General Faris Al-Rawi was also granted an exemption and returned to TT on November 13.

The 21-year-old Al-Rawi came in through Barbados, having spent six weeks in Ireland.

The AG is now dismissing claims that his son also skipped the long exemption line, in similar fashion to the Prime Minister’s daughter.

Dr Sonel Rowley applied for her exemption on November 4 and returned to the country on December 16 from New York.

Al-Rawi confirmed that his son was granted an exemption to enter the country “as was many other students” and he urged people to stop with their inferences.
