No Chronic Shortage Of Pharmaceuticals In T&T, Assures Health Minister

Trinidad and Tobago is not experiencing a chronic shortage of pharmaceuticals.

Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, made the disclosure in the House of Representatives on Wednesday afternoon.

The government, in treating with the situation, has written to embassies in a bid to get them to lift embargo which will allow pharmaceuticals to come into the country.

Minister Deyalsingh was at the time responding to a question from the Opposition which wanted to know whether there is a new Strategic Plan for the Prevention and Control of Non Communicable Diseases as the 2017-2021 Plan has recently expired.
