Opposition Senator, Wade Mark today questioned whether or not 3 million doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines were authorized to be supplied by Hewasky Quest Global Ltd/SkyQuest Technology Group of Queen’s Road, Central, Hong Kong.
Mark made the statement during today’s Senate sitting in Parliament.
Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh responded by saying that the Government has no knowledge of a private company supplying the country with AstraZeneca vaccines.
In a supplemental question, Senator Mark questioned whether or not Vary Medical & Scientific Company Limited in Port-of-Spain submitted a bid for the supply for the vaccines.
However Minister Deyalsinigh said there was one application received from Vary Medical & Scientific Company Limited asking to supply AstraZeneca vaccines.
