No Alarm Over Hike In Covid19 Cases, Says Head Of Registered Nurses Association

Even amid the rise in new positive Covid -19 cases, 559, the Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association is of the view lessons can be learnt from the past in the management of the virus.

President of the Association, Idi Stuart, tells News Power Now he is not alarmed by the hike in cases after the carnival period.

Mr Stuart said the Ministry of Health is aware of this development and took appropriate action by keeping the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility Open.

The latest clinical health update by the Ministry of the Health indicates eight persons lost their lives between February 22 to 28th due to the virus.

Locally the overall number of persons who have died from the virus is 4,347.
