National Lotteries Control Board (NLCB) director Michael Jogee has been suspended indefinitely following allegations of misconduct against him brought by the Statutory Authorities Service Commission Department (SASCD).
The Express obtained a copy of the letter, dated September 9, addressed to Jogee from the SASCD, headed “Allegations of misconduct and suspension from duty”. Five allegations were listed against the NLCB director.
The SASCD letter further stated the Statutory Authorities Service Commission, at its meeting of September 6, 2024, decided to appoint Dexter Jaggernauth, deputy permanent secretary from the Ministry of Finance, as the officer to investigate the allegations made against Jogee, in accordance with Regulation 87A(1) of the Statutory Authorities Service Commission Regulations.
The letter ended, “that in accordance with Regulation 88 of the Statutory Authorities Service Commission Regulations, you are directed to cease to report for duty until further notice from Commission and cease to perform the functions of your office, with effect from the date of receipt of this letter”.
