Ninety Thousand Ukrainians Have Arrived In The UK, After Fleeing Russian Invasion

The British government says some unaccompanied child refugees from Ukraine will be given visas.

It says the Home Office changed its initial guidance to say that under-18s must travel with a parent or guardian, which left hundreds of lone teenagers in limbo.

More than 90,000 Ukrainians have arrived in the UK, after fleeing the Russian invasion.

Reports say as of July 5th this year, 148,300 Ukrainian visas have been issued, from 175,100 applications.

On June 9th, the British government said 9,900 Ukrainian children have places in English schools.
