Nine new COVID-19 cases

The Ministry of Health is reporting nine additional persons have tested positive for COVID-19.

It says these new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.

In its latest clinical update the Ministry said there have been three recovered community cases.

It says recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self –isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and was released from self –isolation.

It says there are six persons in hospital with the virus.

The Ministry says there are one hundred and thirteen persons in home self-isolation, four hundred and twenty-one patients in state quarantine facilities and one patient at step down facilities.

The Ministry says one hundred and forty persons have died from COVID-19 in Trinidad and Tobago
