Nine illegal immigrants held in Arima

Police have held nine (9) illegal immigrants which include Venezuelans and Columbians in Arima Wednesday night during an Operation Strike Back exercise.

The group, ranging in ages 21 – 61, was captured during a multi-agency operation which included officers of the Arima Operations Unit, Task Force Area East, Canine Branch, Warrants Office, Court and Process, Municipal Police and the Immigration Division.

The persons are currently in police custody as Corporal Henry of the Immigration Division continues investigations.

Northern Division Police are encouraging the public to continue to provide information on suspected illegal immigrants and activities to thePolice by calling its hotlines 999, 555 or CRIME STOPPERS at 800-TIPS or providing the information via the TTPS’ App.
