NGC Group of Companies seeks a Sustainable Future with Suppliers

The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC), brought together vendors from across the NGC Group of Companies in an effort to deepen the existing relationship as we all grapple with the effects of our new normal and accelerated technological innovations. Over 500 vendors virtually joined an event where information was shared on NGC Group’s existing and future processes and where vendors had an opportunity to bring forward any questions or concerns.

The NGC Group of Companies comprise NGC, National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago, Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited, NGC CNG Company Limited, and La Brea Industrial Development Company Limited.  The Forum was held under the theme ”Fostering Relationships for a Sustainable Future”, with the main intent to bring vendors up to speed in terms of vendor registration, improvements to the payment process, measures put into place as the NGC Group maintains all COVID-19 safety protocols and upcoming projects. Vendors were also given the opportunity to raise their concerns during a robust question and answer segment.

NGC Group also used the opportunity to further explain its new SAP Ariba system, a paperless supplier management solution which reduces risk and maximizes efficiency, all toward building a more sustainable relationship between the NGC Group and its many suppliers/vendors.

According to NGC President Mr. Mark Loquan, “Our vendors have always been, and continue to remain, one of our significant stakeholders.  The NGC Group Vendor Forum 2020 provides an opportunity to “touch base” with our existing vendors and provide them with insights in terms of the new way we are doing business, as well as  gain knowledge of any challenges they are facing as it pertains to their relationship with us. Supply Chain Management continues to be an integral focus of the NGC Group of Companies as we aim to harness efficiencies through all processes which impact our day to day operations.”
