The Ministry of Health has revealed that the Next phase of the National COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Programme will begin on Monday, 7th February, 2022.
It will cater to those who received their second shots of Astra Zeneca or Sinopharm in August 2021, or those who received their single dose of Johnson & Johnson in December 2021 or the first half of January 2022.
The schedule was unveiled during today’s Health Ministry briefing by Health Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh who revealed that 114,938 booster or additional primary doses have so far been administered.
Booster and additional primary doses are outside of a completed regime, which consists of two vaccine doses in a two dose regime (AZ, Sinopharm, Pfizer) and one dose of a vaccine in a one dose regime (J&J).
To date, 694,625 persons have completed their COVID-19 vaccination regime.
