New Parliamentary Term To Start On September 13th 2024

Campaign finance reform, reviews and recommendations from the Elections and Boundaries Commission and self-governance for Tobago are some of the matters on the government’s agenda which will be brought to the parliament during the new term.

This was disclosed by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, while speaking at the weekly post cabinet news briefing held at White Hall in Port of Spain on Wednesday.

The parliament will meet on Monday, September 9th which will be the last day of the fourth session.

However, Dr Rowley explained the new parliamentary session starts on September 13th and these matters will be addressed.

He said autonomy for Tobago will be another opportunity to deal with the work of the committee.
