Hardware Stores, Bookstores and Art Supply Stores, will be allowed to operate on a temporary basis.
The Ministry of Health issued the following update on scheduled opening and closing times for Hardwares, Book Stores and Supply Stores –
These times are pursuant to Regulation 3(10)(ao) of the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021.
From Monday 14th June 2021 –
Hardware Stores:
Monday and Wednesday 8am – 4pm
Friday and Saturday 8am – 12noon pm
Bookstores
Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm
Art Supply Stores
8am – 4pm
Members of the public and operators of the abovementioned stores are advised to comply strictly with the other legal requirements of the Emergency Powers (No. 2) Regulations, 2021, the public health guidelines and legal requirements of the Public Health [2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV)] (No. 16) Regulations, 2021.
Additionally, shoppers are also asked to limit the time spent in the abovementioned stores by restricting their purchases to those essential items that are required.
The Ministry of Health said it will continue to monitor this development.
