New ferry schedule come October 1

There will be a new schedule for the various ferries operating on the sea-bridge between Trinidad and Tobago.

This new schedule will come into effect from Thursday 1st October 2020, along with a change in operating hours for the Customs and Cargo Yard at the Port of Scarborough.

An advisory issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Inter-island Transportation Company Limited (TTIT) notes that a key change for the Jean De La Valette will be a departure from Tobago at 6:30 am, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Meanwhile, the T&T Spirit will now be leaving Trinidad at 9 am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

In addition, both vessels will continue to have no sailings on Wednesdays, leaving the Galleons Passage as the only option on that day, and Cabo Star will offer no sailings on Saturdays and public holidays, as per usual.

The change in operating hours at the Port of Scarborough for both Customs and Yard Cargo Operations also goes into effect from Thursday 1st October 2020. The new hours are 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays.

Ferry users are reminded that the vessels will continue to operate at reduced passenger capacity until further notice, to ensure that passengers adhere to the social distancing protocols. Thus, the travelling public is hereby advised that only essential travel should be entertained at this time.

In addition, all ferry users are urged to comply with the COVID-19 protocols that have been implemented to protect all passengers, port users, employees and other stakeholders.
