Near 1,400 To Graduate During Virtual Ceremony At The UWI Cave Hill Campus This Weekend.

The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus in Barbados will host its virtual graduation ceremony for one thousand, three hundred and eighty two graduands on Saturday.

This year’s ceremony will see the first cohort of students graduating from the Campus’ new Faculty of Culture, Creative and Performing Arts which was established last year.

Graduands from the Faculties of Law, Humanities & Education, Medical Sciences, Science & Technology, Social Sciences, and Sport will also be conferred degrees during the ceremony.

The UWI, Cave Hill Graduating Class of 2021 comprises one thousand and twenty-eight undergraduate and three hundred and fifty four postgraduate candidates.

Among them, twenty-three are undergraduates with distinction, one with honours, and one hundred and fifty four with first class honours.

Three hundred and fifty-six will be awarded upper second class honours, while two hundred and seventy-six will receive lower second class honours.

Of the postgraduates, two will receive high commendation, while one hundred and thirty-three will graduate with honours.

Iyka Dorival from the Faculty of Law will represent the class of 2021 as Valedictorian.
