After stolen steel beams placed a delay on construction of the North Stand at the Queen’s Park Savannah, Chairman of the National Carnival Commission (NCC) Winston “Gypsy” Peters has assured that the North Stand will be ready before the end of this week.
“The North Stand will be ready by Wednesday or Thursday for the latest,” Peters said yesterday.
This means that it will be available for events such as the National Panorama Semi-Finals which is scheduled for February 11. It will be the first time the North Stand has been used since 2018.
