Persons invested in retaining Nazma Muller’s bail, say the work on multiple fronts continues to ensure that she is out of Remand Yard and back with family and loved ones.
According to a release issued this evening on behalf of Muller, Mr Junior Savic is said to have worked to clarify the bail process with the Court, which has been altered due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Social and political activist, Wayne Kublalsingh, who is also at the forefront assisting Muller, said at present the Prison is in general quarantine alert and Muller, has just finished her fourth day of a fourteen-day quarantine.
He said “visitors will be allowed, except through video link after her quarantine.”
He also said the Go Fund Me account set up for Muller has accrued a sum of $US 1,686 in the U.S account and TT$ 11,406 in the TT account.
Kublalsingh said the figure in the local First Citizens account has still not been verified and they will try once more to have the account holder visit the bank to verify the amount.
He said “when this is done, she would be in a better position to transact her own legal defence.”
According to information provided by the Prison Authority at Golden Grove, the Court has set a ‘Cash Bail of $35,000.
Kublalsingh also said $5,000 would also be paid to their attorney, Mr Kenneth Munroe Brown, who has been hired to assist in the bail process.
