NATUC President: Gov’t starving Industrial Court

Is the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago being deliberately starved of funding?

Well this is the belief of the president of NATUC Michael Annisette.

Annisette told Power Digital that in his opinion since the Court ruled against Petrotrin, the government has deliberately starved the Court of much needed funding to be able to effectively carry out its mandate.

Annisette said that despite requests by the President of the Industrial Court Her Honour Deborah Thomas-Felix, the government has failed to provide the funding for the Court to be able to transition  online during this  pandemic.
