NAMDEVCO promises to add more vending spots in Chaguanas

Consistent with increasing demand across the country for more Farmers Market spaces, Namdevco said they will continue to make more vending spots and opportunities available.

In a media release sent this evening, NAMDEVCO said they understand there is some confusion regarding the opening of the new Namdevco Farmers Market at Woodford Lodge in Chaguanas.

Existing Chaguanas vendors are not being removed from the highly successful Farmers Market at the Ministry of Agriculture’s Head Office compound.

There will be two Farmers Markets.

The Woodford Lodge Farmers Market will provide several new vending spots to farmers who have spent a long time on the waiting list. The site at the Ministry’s Head Office compound cannot support more farmers. Members of the public within Chaguanas and environs now have a choice.

The Chaguanas Farmers’ Market at the Ministry’s compound and the newly opened Woodford Lodge facility at Lalla Street, Chaguanas.

Both Farmers Markets will operate this Saturday 26th October, 2019 and every Saturday thereafter from 6 am to 12 noon.  The Farmers Market in Couva is also expanding and has become a weekly market on Sundays. East Trinidad could be next!

NAMDEVCO currently operates and manages ten (10) farmers markets throughout the island. The Corporation continues to fulfill its mandate of creating markets and marketing opportunities for its stakeholders.
