A 38-year-old man was shot dead earlier today, following an altercation with a relative.
Reports are that sometime Thursday morning, Allan Stoute got into an argument with a male relative at his Mt Pleasant, Arima home.
During the melee, Stoute got a cutlass and approached the relative.
However, the relative, who has a licensed gun, took out his pistol and shot Stoute once.
Stoute was rushed to the Arima Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Arima police went to the house and arrested the man and seized his pistol, ammunition and Firearm Users Licence book.
