MSJ loses a member as activist resigns from the party

Daniel “Junior Sawic” George, the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) representative for the Cap-de-Ville/Fanny Village district has resigned from the political party.

In a statement issued to the media on Sunday, George said that the resignation is with immediate effect.

“This means that I am no longer a member of the Activist Council; I am no longer a member of the Point Fortin Regional Council; I am no longer the MSJ representative for the Cap-de-Ville/Fanny Village District, and I am no longer a member of the Party in any way.”

He said his official membership, which lasted from 2011 to 2020, allowed him to learn a lot.

“I will remember the entire experience for many years. However, I prefer to continue in activism without political ties or obligations to any party or limitations of any kind.”

He said his resignation will be made known to the public via media, to avoid uncertainty on where he stands or my decision to resign.

He added that an official acceptance of resignation letter on or before Sunday 4th October 2020 would be appreciated.
