Members of Parliament are being urged to ensure the COVID-19 relief food hampers reach the persons in urgent need of them.
The appeal comes from Minister of Agriculture, Lands and Fisheries, Clarence Rambharan.
Minister Rambharan was asked by a reporter at the weekly post news briefing what systems are in place to ensure the food hamper distribution is efficiently carried out.
The Agriculture Minister appealed to MP’s to do their part to make the venture a reliable one.
Minister Rambharan said the initiative will be done on a sustained basis in the future.
