There is only one thing the Government can do if the murder rate surpasses the previous recorded high rate of murders in Trinidad and Tobago in one year.
Opposition MP Barataria/San Juan MP Saddam Hosein says those in charge of the Government would only have one course of action.
One Newspaper report stated that as of Friday the murder toll stood at 420 for the year 2022 thus far.
Speaking at the United National Congress weekly Sunday press conference, he also referenced the State of Emergency that had been in effect as part of the Government’s response to the Delta Variant phase of the Covid 19 Pandemic.
As Opposition Chief Whip David Lee is refuting two charges that were laid against him on Friday, Opposition MP Hosein is questioning the Government’s priorities where its war on crime is concerned.
