Motorists are being warned of a spill-over from the Caroni River in vicinity of the Caroni Flyover.
Confirmation of this is coming from the Ministry of Works and Transport.
The commuting public is being advised to drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution on the southbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway.
In a media release the Ministry said this advisory is necessary at this time, as the acceleration ramp, the slow lane and the shoulder of the southbound lane are flooded but is still passable to vehicular traffic.
