A mother of four is warded in a serious condition at the hospital after a suicide attempt on Wednesday afternoon.
The 31-year-old woman from St. Julien Village in Princes Town was at Palmiste Park in San Fernando around 3:00p.m, when she called a friend and told her that she drank poison. The woman was at the park with her four children aged two, four, 10 and 12. The children raised an alarm when they noticed that something was wrong with their mother. The police and husband were called to the scene, and the woman was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital for treatment. The husband took the children away from the park.
Police are continuing investigations.
