Morvant teen places 4th in CXC/CAPE exams in the Caribbean

Kardiesha Johnson of Cassia Street, Morvant excelled in the CXC/CAPE examinations, by coming fourth in the entire Caribbean in Accounting Unit 2 with all As.

Johnson attends Holy Name Convent and at the CXC level, she received five 1s and three 2s.

According to Member of Parliament, for Laventille East/Morvant Adrian Leonce, “19-year old’s determination and grit to become successful is amazing because for a very long time she had no access to WiFi and would sometimes go by a shop in her area to do her homework and other studies.”

He said she dreamed of  becoming a lawyer and is currently in the process of enrolling in the University of the West Indies’ law program.

“Her mom Diana triumphantly said “Can anything good come out of Nazarette and Morvant? Yes.! We are giving God all the praise and glory for always coming through for my children despite the fights and struggles. Pressure does not burst pipes, it brings forth praises to the Almighty God.”
