Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley unveiled the commemorative stone at the Official Opening Ceremony of the Morvant Community Swimming Pool.
The constituency is now home to this country’s latest swimming facility, located at the Morvant Community Swimming Pool located at Cedarwood Street Morvant.
The pool is intended to accommodate recreational and competitive swimming events.
It is 15-meters x 25-meters with six lanes.
Completed in nine months, this facility is outfitted with an administrative building with change rooms, washrooms, a concession area and parking. It can also seat 60 spectators.
The Prime Minister was joined by M.P. for Laventille East/Morvant and Minister in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Adrian Leonce, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Shamfa Cudjoe and M.P. for Laventille West and Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds
