Ian Charles, also known as “Flossy” of Morvant, was shot and killed on Tuesday night during a drive-by shooting.
Reports state that the incident took place around 10.10 p.m., at the corner of Mon Repos and Laventille Extension Roads, Morvant
Charles was standing outside a parlour he operated when a car drove by and the occupants opened fire, hitting him multiple times including to the chest and face.
Charles collapsed and died at the scene.
The shooters then sped off and escaped.
Officers said in the immediate vicinity of the shooting, including the parlour, there were a number of CCTV cameras installed.
They are hoping that based on the footage captured on those cameras, that they would be able to identify the shooters.
