Extremely worrisome is how one senior medical official describes the mortality rate of dialysis patients from Covid-19 in Trinidad and Tobago.
The assessment comes from Clinical Coordinator of the North West Regional Health Authority, Dr Emile Mohammed.
Speaking at Monday’s Ministry of Health virtual news briefing, Dr Mohammed describes as devastating the current situation involving the vulnerable dialysis population locally.
He said the development has been closely monitored in the past six months.
Dr Mohammed also reflected on the challenges which dialysis patients have to deal with.
