More medals for the Caribbean at the Tokyo Olympics

Celebrations continued in Jamaica this morning as the island continued its track and field success with an upset in the men’s 110 meter hurdles last evening.

Hansle Parchment won the 110m hurdles with a stunning run, beating red-hot favourite Grant Holloway of the United States in the final.

Jamaican champion, Ronald Levy, took the bronze in the event.

Meanwhile, Bahamas’ Steven Gardiner took home gold in the Men’s 400m in a time of 43.85 seconds.

Grenada’s Kirani James finished in third in the race behind Colombia’s Anthony Zambrano to become Grenada’s first Olympian to medal in three consecutive Olympics.
